2011 international gregorio weber conference
dec 15 - 16, 2011 | buenos aires, argentinaInternational Gregorio Weber Conference
December 15 –16, 2011
The Third South American Workshop and International Gregorio Weber Conference on New Trends in Advanced Fluorescence Microscopy Techniques will consist of theoretical lectures, a hands-on laboratory course and computer-based training on data analysis and simulations. It will focus on the basics and advanced concepts of fluorescence spectroscopy techniques. The laboratory course is designed for students, researchers and industrial scientists who intend to extend their knowledge of fluorescence spectroscopy techniques.
Key scientists in the field will deliver theoretical lectures. The lectures will be complemented by the direct utilization of fluorescence instrumentation. Topics addressed in this course include:
- Basic Definitions and Principles of Fluorescence and Introduction to Microscopy
- Fluorescence Polarization
- Time-resolved Fluorescence
- Instrumentation
- Data Manipulation and Data Analysis
- Multiphoton Fluorescence Microscopy
- FCS (Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy)
- RICS (Raster Image Correlation Spectroscopy)
- N&B (Number and Brightness)
- Introduction to Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM)
- Single Molecule Imaging
- and More!
